  • Yes. Dr. Neil Kumar is a panel physician designated by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). He has several years of experience performing immigration medical exams (IMEs).

  • The cost of the exam is $200. This includes both the examination and the urine test that is required for most patients. The price excludes any costs of bloodwork or X-rays that may be required, which are charged by Lifelabs and the radiology clinic respectively.

    If you are requiring a Medical Diagnostic Test under the Canadian Ukrainian Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) program, the exam is FREE as long as you have a valid MSP card. This includes the bloodwork and X-rays that may be required.

    If you are a Refugee the cost will likely be covered by the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP). Please give us a call at 604-546-1490 or 778-990-9941, or email us at imeburnaby.ca if you have any questions regarding this.

  • Yes we are able to see anyone requiring a Medical Diagnostic Test under the Canadian Ukrainian Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) program for FREE as long as they have a valid MSP card.

  • Yes. We are quite experienced we these, and will also help answer any questions you may have

  • Yes. We see many refugees and would be happy to see you for your IME. The cost of your exam is likely covered by the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP), so please let us know at the time of booking, if you are a refugee.

  • We are sent the results directly, and you do not need to come back. We use e-Medical to submit the Immigration Medical Exam report to IRCC and do not use any paper files.

  • Yes, we have translators available for any language including Hindi, Punjabi, Mandarin, Korean, Farsi, Arabic, Urdu, Spanish, Ukrainian and Russian.

  • Most of our clients do end up getting everything done on the same day. The laboratory and X-ray clinic are both walking distance from our location.

  • No. We will take photos required for the IME in the clinic

  • No. Please eat and drink as you normally would.

  • -ORIGINAL valid Passport OR Refugee Claimant Document
    -If you are coming as part of the CUAET program, then please bring a valid MSP Card as well
    -BC Driver's License/BC ID/Provincial ID
    -IMM1017 form (if you have been issued one). To note this is NOT REQUIRED for an Upfront Medical
    -Prescription glasses/contact lenses (if applicable)
    -Any prescription medications (if applicable)
    -Medical history (if not available, you may provide it verbally)
    -Any other paperwork given/sent to you by the government in regards to getting the examination done

  • Yes, we are open on SATURDAYS.

  • We can submit your exam within 1-2 days.
